Short Poetry

Mitigating circumstances should not allow us to confuse
A little understanding is no licence to abuse
If in the same position you'd blow yet another fuse
It's time you stopped and realised there's something wrong with you

And if you're on the side-lines of a case of violent rage
And find that you are saying you could make the same mistake
Then wipe that look of innocence from off your ugly face
For the threat of violence you have helped to propagate

The past is not our master, it's the teacher of our fate
We cannot use it's frailties to shape the human race
Enough with the excuses for multiplying of our pain
For every flash of anger refuels our war planes
