Short Poetry

Jumbled

Paper tigers can inspire me

With their blue/albino stripes

Turning pages can despise me

With their yawning blank surprise

But the world forever changes

Afore the ink can even dry

So yesterday's bold strokes of genius

Turn out to be jumbled lines

Truth attacks when you turn back

And stare extinction in the eye

Paper tigers burn so brightly

In the cages of my mind
