Christmas 2023: Infinity Card

THANK YOU for scanning the QR code and dropping by here, it makes the effort much more worthwhile!!!

However - last year I did a full rewrite of the software that generates my website and I took the opportunity to boot google off of my servers on the basis their stats were probably all lies anyway and I don't want to subject my site visitors to their creepy voyeuristic tendencies - SO, the only we we know you came here is if you drop us a line at me@antsmith.net.

We spent nearly 3 weeks making 24 cards, so that's around half a day each we sat cutting stuff up and thinking about your lovely selves... a very fond time we had for us doing that, and we hope a fond moment - or at least a fond few seconds - you've had playing with the thing.

Below you can see the full version of each image we used in the card - organised by 'stage', i.e. after each 'open' action has been performed. You can click any image to see it at fullscreen and here I have uploaded the full images (whereas on the card there have been various crops and cut-outs).

When viewing fullscreen you can click the round 'info' button to read about the image OR click to expand the accordion device below the images (the lists that appear below the headings 'Stage... image notes') to read more about them; they give a bit of an overview of how our year went.

Stage 1 - Front of the card

Here we've included a few pictures of some of the stuff we have made these past 12 months.

Stage 2 - Birds 'n' Pieces

I've been putting my long lens through its paces this year so Chris and I have visited a number of sanctuaries, as well as made good use of our back garden. All of these photos are from 2023 (more or less).

Stage 3 - The Family

Lift the little door flap (with the seals on it) to see all of our current family of companion animals - you can also most easilly slide the satellite card out of its holder now (unless you already ripped it out in frustration when you first saw it at stage 2)!

Under the doorflap you will see not just Kicky and Lolly (our two most independent companions) but also roundels (ovals actually) with cutout dragonfly and butterfly shapes to represent ourselves - we used dragonflies and butterflies as motifs at our wedding so it's always nice to use such again - you must guess which represents which of us though...

Stage 4 - The End, for this year

A couple more shots from this year along with images of The Parrots at Morndyke sanctuary that we visited for our anniversary treat; they did better than you out of Christmas as they got £4 sponsorship for each card we sent, and you just got the card... the parrots were really lovely though (so are you but)

That's all for this year. We hope you enjoyed the card and these little notes about it. If you did drop me a line so we know!

Happy Christmas, and Happy New Year

Much Love

Ant & Chris
