The TrancePortations from 2024
The TrancePorter was created in 2024.
It synthesises music from the information held in the pixels of images.
It follows the instruction of a 'storyboard' to load and manipulate images in a rhythmic fashion.
E.g. the commposer / player might write a storyboard that loads an 8k digital artwork, zooms in and scans across the image. The resulting flow of pixel values over rhythmic time play musical notes. The colour of the frame sets the note's pitch, brightness the volume, etc...

Will Farr (who I met from Fresh On The Net) included The Standing Stones of Stennes on his Eclectic Mix Volume 4 release; and keeps the track in circulation in his DJ sets, so real people are listening to it in real moments. Magic.
